Stewart’s Nursery hangs first loss on DWall Drywall

Dylan Young got the win for Stewart’s, working two innings and allowing two hits and one run. Alex Sullivan worked four innings and gave up six runs on four hits while fanning eight.
Alex Rowland worked three innings for DWall, allowing two runs on three hits while fanning eight. Tristan Reish worked two innings, giving up four runs on three hits. Tristan Smith took the loss giving up two hits and two runs.
After two innings of play DWall held a 3-0 lead after scoring one run in the top of the first and two in the second. DWall added one run in the third, but Stewart’s came back with two runs in the bottom of the inning.
DWall continued to stay hot at the plate scoring two in the fourth and one in the sixth. But Stewart’s sent one run to the plate in the bottom of the fourth, three in the fifth and scored two in the sixth to take the win.
For Stewart’s, Sullivan led the way with three hits. Bradley Stewart added two hits, Payden Lee, Hunter King and Young added one hit each.
Jordan Tidwell and Rowland had two hits each for DWall. Hunter Bouldin and Nicholas Simmons added one hit each.
In the second game of the night, First National Bank defeated Morris Auto Body 8-3. FNB scored two runs in the top of the first, one in the second, two in the third, two in the fourth and one in the sixth. Morris Auto Body scored two in the first and one in the bottom of the sixth.
Lake Hillis picked up the win for FNB working four innings, giving up two runs on three hits and striking out six. Griffin Jones worked one inning, allowing just one hit. Park Hillard had one inning of work giving up one hit and one run.
For FNB, Hillard and Merek McColloch had two hits each. For Morris, Brayden Neal and Jerrick McKnight had two hits each. Joesiah Solomon had one hit.
Monday night, DWall Drywall slipped past First National Bank 6-4 in five innings. Dwall scored two runs in the bottom of the first, three in the second and one in the fifth. FNB sent one run to the plate in the second, one in the third and two in the fourth.
Rowland got the win with three innings of work, giving up two runs on one hit with nine Ks.
McColloch took the loss with three innings of work, giving up five hits and five runs with five strikeouts.
For DWall, Tristan Reish led the way with three hits. Hunter Bouldin had two hits and Tidwell added one hit. For FNB, Jones picked up the only hit of the night.
In the second game, Stewart’s Nursery slipped past Morris Auto Body 10-9. Morris sent six runs across the plate in the top of the first, one in the third and two in the fourth. Stewart’s came back with one run in the third, one in the fourth and eight runs in the bottom of the fifth.
Dylan Young and Sullivan saw action on the mound for Stewart’s, with Sullivan picking up the win. Sullivan worked two innings, giving up two runs on two hits. Young worked three innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits.
Barrett took the loss for Morris allowing one run and one hit. Wesley Parkhurst worked three innings. Jerrick McKnight worked one inning, allowing three runs and Tyler Patterson gave up four runs.
For Stewart’s, Young led the way with two hits and Stewart added one hit. For Morris, Parkhurst had three hits and McKnight and Barrett had two hits apiece. Zachary Posthumus and Solomon had one hit each.
