Ruth Floyd Watson, 93

McMinnville resident and Rutherford County native Ruth Floyd Watson, 93, was born June 10, 1913 and died Feb. 27 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following an extended illness.

A homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Wilmot A. and Rhoda Zumbro Floyd. She was married to Thomas J. Watson, who preceded her in death July 25, 1993. She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Thomas C. and Judy Watson of Chattanooga, and Jerry B. Watson of McMinnville; grandson, Mark L. Watson of Robertsdale, Ala.; granddaughter, Susan E. Watson of Old Hickory, and two great-grandchildren, Tiffany and Marissa Watson of Robertsdale, Ala.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Bascom Cemetery. Visitation will be held today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., and from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Thursday at High?s. Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund.
