On the Line: Zechman makes her move

Last year?s co-champion, Standard publisher Pat Zechman, leapt past a pair of pickers last weekend to reach second place in the ?On the Line? standings.

Zechman, who along with Dale Stubblefield and guest picker Bryan Kell went 6-4, is now just four games behind Stubblefield, who leads the panel and was the first picker to reach the 100-win plateau.

?They said a woman couldn?t win this thing, and I proved them wrong last year,? Zechman said. ?But I wasn?t satisfied with a tie, I want the trophy to myself this year.?

James Clark ? who made the decision himself to wear a helmet in his mugshot ? and Duane Sherrill are now tied for fourth at 95-55, while Rob Nunley remained in last place with his 5-5 mark, and is now six games out of first.
