Waller jailed for cocaine charge

Twelve people were sentenced last week by Judge Bart Stanley in Circuit Court criminal division.

Included in sentencing action:

? Steve Lamont Waller was ordered to serve 360 days of a 10-year sentence and must pay $3,000 plus court costs for possession with intent to sell cocaine.

? Debra M. Basinger was given an eight-year sentence but was accepted into the drug court program for initiating the manufacture of methamphetamine.

? Joe Blanton Campbell was given a nine-year sentence but was accepted into the drug court program for initiating the manufacture of meth.

? Thomas W. Harville Jr. was ordered to serve 196 days of a three-year sentence and pay $2,000 plus costs for simple assault and attempt to manufacture drugs.

? Ronnie Keaton was directed to serve 60 days of a two-year sentence and pay $2,000 plus costs for sale of drugs.

? Jason Hobbs was instructed to serve five days of an 11-29 sentence and pay $250 plus costs for possession of drug paraphernalia.

? John Franklin Parker Jr. was ordered to serve 60 days of an 11-29 sentence for assault.

? Jason Thatch was instructed to serve 120 days of a two-year sentence for forgery and theft.

? James R. Phillips was directed to serve 15 days of a one-year sentence, pay $75 plus costs and perform 100 hours public service work for theft.

? Lara A. Stevens was given a 11-29 probationary sentence and must make restitution for theft.

? Charles H. Wilcher III was granted a judicial diversion and must perform 24 hours public service work and pay $250 plus costs for underage impaired driving.

? Jimmy Self must serve 60 days for violation of probation.
