Judge Ross hears 56-person docket

A 56-person docket was heard Tuesday by Judge Larry Ross in General Sessions Court, including arraignment for three members of The Weather Channel?s storm crew accused of trespassing while covering the recent tornado story.

The defendants, Edward John Lozano Jr., Jorma Brandon Duran and Bradley Reynolds are scheduled to appear before Judge Ross May 23 to answer to the misdemeanor charges.

They are accused of trespassing on the property of the late Sherry Bruce who was killed by one of the two tornadoes which struck Warren County earlier this month. Relatives of the victim said they asked the TV crew to leave several times but to no avail. The three will be represented by local attorney Mary Little.

In other court action Tuesday:

? Eli Smith was bound over to the grand jury on charges of aggravated burglary, theft and assault. He must serve the balance of a former sentence for violation of probation.

? Cole James West was bound over to the grand jury on charges of aggravated burglary and theft.

? Heath R. Crisp was bound over to the grand jury on charges of aggravated burglary and theft.

? James Richard Phillips was bound to the grand jury on the charge of theft.

? Tommye Bell was instructed to serve five days of an 11-29 sentence for theft.

? Jason Bouldin was directed to serve four days of an 11-29 sentence for joy riding.

? Christopher D. Hollis was ordered to serve five days of an 11-29 sentence, pay $50 plus costs and perform 16 hours public service work for theft and driving on a suspended license.

? Charles Merriman must serve five days for possession of a weapon.

? Dwayne C. Boyd was handed an 11-29 probationary sentence and must pay $50 plus costs and perform 16 hours public service work for domestic assault.

? William R. Moore was directed to serve 48 hours and pay $100 plus costs for criminal impersonation and evading arrest.

? Tim Tatum was given a six-month probationary sentence and must perform eight hours public service work for passing a worthless check for $162.

? Diane Woods was handed an 11-29 probationary sentence and must perform 16 hours public service work for passing a worthless check for $16.

? Sherry Whitmore was handed a six-month probationary sentence and must perform eight hours public service work for vandalism.

? Carl Weddington must serve 48 hours and pay $50 plus costs for public intoxication.

? David Yates Jr. must pay $10 plus costs for public intoxication.

? Jaramillo J. Gomez must serve 48 hours and pay $50 plus costs for driving without a license.

? Joshua Jones was fined $10 plus costs and must perform 16 hours public service work for underage consumption.

? Ryan Allen Muncey was instructed to serve 48 hours for contempt of court.

? Wallace Steven Nelson must serve the balance of his sentence for violation of probation.

? Chad Turner must serve 10 days and have his probation extended by six months for violation of probation.

? Charles Milligan had his probation extended by six months for violation of probation.

? Francisco Juarez must serve 30 days for violation of probation.
