Quality Mold blasts Barr’s

Quality Mold connected for 30 hits Tuesday night at the Jim Mansfield T-ball field, and took an early 7-1 lead on the way to a 19-9 victory over Barr’s in the boys’ 7-8 year-old coach-pitch league.

Barr’s plated eight runs in the top of the second to take a 9-7 lead, but was held without a run for the remaining two innings as Quality Mold retook the lead.

Dusty Ledbetter, Eric Adamson, Wesley Parkhurst and Gavin Laxson were all 4-for-4 in the winning effort for Quality Mold, with Parkhurst recording three doubles and Adamson adding wo.

Tyler Judge, Joshua Clark and Aaron Justce had three hits each, while Cameron Shelton and Braydon Lewis had two apiece and Bailey Moore added one.

Barr’s got two hits each from Trace Taylor, Matthew Savage and Joseph Webb, while Daruis Wright, Jake Pennington, Ben Roller, Zech Clark, Tyler Mills and Sean Stafford had a hit apiece.

  • ABC Ice had the hotter bats in their 18-8 win over BLC, with Christian Cleland leading the way with a 4-for-4 day at the plate.

    Will Sweeton, Chase Hollingsworth, Regan Prater and Carlos Villegas had three hits each, while Lucas Young, Elijah Holder, Jack Sherrill, Elijah Gilbert and Enrique Villegas had two each. Abdias Garcia rounded out the hit parade with a single.

    BLC got three hits each from Skylar Thomas, Lucas Estes, Corey Richardson Jr., Jaben Bouldin and Zachery Estes, while Mitch Owens had two and Briar Ward had one.
  • National Health Care posted eight runs in the top of the second to break a 2-2 tie and down the Warren County Warriors, 10-2.

    NHC’s hits came from Jordan Hillis and John Haley, who had two each, while Cody Eldridge, Trevor Young, Nick Stern, David Jaco, Dwight Woodlee and Zach Lorentzen had a hit each.

    The Warriors got single hits from Ethan Bandy, Holden Baker, Cade Carlson, Logan Mize and Jett Urtubees.
  • Merek McColloch went 3-for-4 with two doubles, and Tristan Reish had a home run in Dependable Brakes of Tennessee’s 15-8 win over NHC on June 9.

    Nate Grandey, Reish and Nicholas Tilton had two hits each, while Travis Smartt and Holden Carter each singled in the winning effort.

    NHC got two hits each from Jordan Hillis, Trevor Young and Will Lupo, while Nick Stern, John Haley and Cody Eldridge had a hit apiece.
