William Ovid (Willo) Collins III, 64
The son of William Ovid Collins Jr. of Nashville and the late Elizabeth Cornelius Collins, he is survived by daughter Tina Collins of Mobile, Ala., sister Ellen C. Hamilton of Dalzell, S.C., niece Ashley Hamilton, nephews Ian and Adam Hamilton, and companion Carole Dudley.
A graduate of Hillsboro High School and Vanderbilt University, he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Willo was an avid outdoorsman, musician and golfer. He had a distinguished career in the insurance industry. He played professionally with many noted musicians and performed at the Grand Ole Opry.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 22 at West End United Methodist Church with a reception immediately to follow in Reed Hall at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations to your favorite wildlife conservation organization are requested.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
