Linda Ellen Harris, 56

Knoxville resident and San Antonio, Texas native Linda Ellen Harris, 56, died Sept. 5 at her home after a brief illness.

A registered nurse with Hillcrest Nursing Home of Knoxville and a member of the Seventh Day Christian Assembly in Knoxville, she was the daughter of Hoyt Clark and Beverly Jolet Harris Sr.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Jeannie Hinds of Knoxville; grandchildren, Hannah, Abigail and Eli Hinds of Knoxville; father and stepmother, Dr. Hoyt and Georgia Mae Harris of Morrison; brothers, Hoyt C. Harris Jr. of Lafayette, La., and Stephen Jolet Harris of Columbia, Mo.; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Stevens Mortuary in Knoxville with Bill Allen and Ken Swiger officiating. Graveside services will follow at 5 p.m. today at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation will be held from noon eastern time until time of Knoxville services today at Stevens Mortuary.

High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
