Ice cream and summer a natural combination
There’s a old chant which goes, “I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream.”
Now that summer has arrived, it’s the perfect time to indulge in some ice cream – free ice cream to be exact.
Most of us don’t need an excuse to dig in to a bowl of ice cream. For those who do, the Standard is offering just that this Friday with free banana splits.
What we call Banana Day has become one of the most popular days at the newspaper office. Hundreds and hundreds of people fill our lobby and spill out into the parking lot to enjoy the great taste of banana splits compliments of the Standard.
It’s one of those rare events where there are no strings attached. Make the drive to 105 College Street from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday afternoon, come into our office, and we will give you free ice cream.
It’s a small – and tasty – way for the Standard to say thanks for your years of support. Come out and enjoy a banana split on us.
