Smarty Pants edged Taco Bell 9-8 last week in the girls 11-12 year-old fast-pitch league. Smarty Pants scored three runs in the first inning, three runs in the second, one in the third, two in the fourth and one in the fifth to escape with the win. Taco Bell sent two runs across the plate in the first, one in the second, three in the third and two in the fifth. Tessa King picked up the win on the mound and Shelby Knowles took the loss.
For Smarty Pants Macaulli Clendenon scored three runs, Chancerie Martin scored two runs, Emily Mullican, Tessa King, Laura Beth McKinley and Rebekah Sweeton scored one run each.
For Taco Bell, Derica Carter scored three runs, Whitney Justice, Theresa Miller, Oshe Smith, Teshia Hillis and Danielle Miller scored one run each.
