Kirby supports growth, progress

Kirby, one of seven running for three available seats in November, said he hopes to bring his strong business background and interest in local growth and development to the table if elected.
“I have a successful business record and good experience in working within financial budgets. I have a vision for growth, progress and the need to carry forward our current projects as well as maintain our city assets and employees,” he said of his candidacy.
“I have gained much in the past 14 years in business. I would like to give something back to the people of McMinnville, serve the voters and bring good business sense and financial responsibility to the taxpayers of McMinnville.”
Growth and progress without a tax increase, Kirby added, may be achieved by sensible spending and maintenance of yearly assets.
Kirby is a 1984 graduate of Warren County High School and 1988 graduate of University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a degree in business administration.
He has been involved in real estate since 1986, working full-time in that occupation for the past 14 years, as well as joining the insurance business in 1993 and being involved in local development projects.
Kirby is a married father of three and co-owns businesses in McMinnville as well as several commercial, residential and industrial properties. He attends St. Matthews Episcopal Church.
