DUI offenses once again fill traffic court
A 67-person docket was heard Thursday by Judge Larry Ross in General Sessions Traffic Court.
Included in traffic court action:
• Manuel Holquin was ordered to serve 17 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence, pay $1,116 and forfeit his driver’s license for one year for DUI, driving without a license, evading arrest, and failure to appear in court.
• Luis Manuel Ortiz was instructed to serve 48 hours of an 11-29 sentence, pay $731 and forfeit his driver’s license for one year for DUI and driving without a license.
• Brandi Russell was instructed to serve 48 hours of an 11-29 sentence, pay $592 and forfeit her driver’s license for one year for DUI.
• Michael Brower was directed to serve seven days of a six-month sentence and pay $219 for driving on a suspended license and failure to appear in court.
• Jai Parton was handed a six-month probationary sentence and must pay $691 and forfeit his driver’s license for one year for driving while impaired and consumption of alcohol under the age of 21.
• Juan J. Ramirez must pay $159 for driving without a license.
• Christopher Fuqua must pay $189 for driving without a license.
• Rey Basurto must pay $510 for driving without a license, no proof of insurance and speeding.
• Sherry Turner was ordered to serve 15 days of a six-month sentence, pay $488 and stay out of Wal-Mart for three years for theft and failure to appear in court.
• David Quintez must serve 48 hours and pay $219 for public intoxication.
• David Harper must serve the balance of his sentence for violation of probation.
• Thomas Reeder must serve 48 hours for violation of probation.
• Melissa Runyon must serve 10 days for contempt of court.
• Scotty Morton must serve five days for violation of probation.
