H.B. Elrod, 72

McMinnville resident and Warren County native H.B. Elrod, 72, died Sept. 1 at River Park Hospital after an extended illness.

A retired farmer and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of Homer Brown and Sadie Barrett Elrod Sr. He is survived by sister, Hazel Parkhurst of McMinnville, several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Oak Grove Cemetery with Jimmy Hale, Carson Rust and Mack Mullican officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. today at High’s.

High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
