U.S. Equipment clips Castle Heights
U.S. had gone up 8-2 by the end of the first inning, but Castle Heights rallied with four runs in the second, two more in the third and went up 11-8 with a three-run fourth before the comeback.
Both teams finished with 19 hits, with Camerie Martin going 4-for-4 with two doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored. Mila Lance and Erica Cantrell had three hits each, while Erika Colangione, Darien Cunningham, Raven Dixon and Allie Golden adding two each. Rylee Hilliard tripled for her team’s other hit.
For Castle Heights, She’nce Ramsey was 3-for-3, while Shelbie Campbell, Katelyn Lester, Maya Denning, Haley Bennett and Hannah Hardcastle all had two hits. Katie Tubb, Mallory Foster and McKayla Todd had a hit each.
• In Monday’s other game, Kirby Real Estate used a seven-run second inning and an 8-run fourth to down Hoover and Son Insurance 17-2.
LeeAnn Dodson went 4-for-4 with a homer, four runs scored and two RBIs to lead her team to the win, while Peyton Griffith was 4-for-4 and scored two runs while driving in one. Stacey Arnold, Allison Satterfield, Rachel Nokes and Trista Key had three hits apiece, while Liza Harvey added two hits — both doubles — and three RBIs.
Hoover and Son got two hits each from Samantha Weeter and Peyton Baker, while Sarah Knowles, Justice Woodside and Allison Simmons had a hit apiece.
