Upchurch gets 5-year sentence-Circuit Court
Twenty people were among those handed sentences last week by Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley. Included in circuit court action:
‘ James Robert Upchurch was ordered to serve five years in addition to his term for violation of probation for initiating the process to manufacture meth.
‘ Matthew Haag was ordered to serve 214 days of a four-year sentence, pay $500 plus costs and perform 30 hours public service work for burglary and theft.
‘ Michael C. Beumer must serve 60 days of a three-year sentence for fraudulent use of credit cards.
‘ Walter L. Bess was directed to serve 180 days of an 11-month, 29-day sentence and pay $250 plus costs for sixth-offense driving on a revoked license.
‘ Jeff Byrge was ordered to serve 20 days of an 11-29 sentence, pay $75 plus costs and perform 20 hours public service work for third-offense driving on a suspended license.
‘ Joshua Thomas Cantrell was given a six-month probationary sentence and must perform 32 hours public service work and replace a mailbox he knocked down for reckless driving.
‘ Freddie Lynn Eldridge was directed to serve 90 days of a four-year sentence and pay $500 plus costs for theft over $10,000 and fourth-offense driving on a revoked license.
‘ Tony Edge was given a two-year sentence for passing worthless checks and theft.
‘ Christopher Adam Hale was directed to serve 90 days of a two-year sentence on the charge of theft in addition to time he is serving in DeKalb County.
‘ Jonathan McCormick was granted a two-year judicial diversion and must perform 160 hours of public service work and pay $250 plus costs for theft.
‘ Robbie Joe Kilgore was instructed to serve 60 days of a two-year sentence and make restitution for theft.
‘ Christopher Smith was instructed to serve 30 days of an 11-29 sentence for theft.
‘ Amanda Renee Trisler was directed to serve 113 days of an 11-29 sentence and pay $75 plus costs for theft.
‘ Charles Furline was ordered to serve 90 days of a three-year sentence and make $3,000 restitution for passing worthless checks.
‘ Sharon Holland was directed to serve six days of an 11-29 sentence and pay $250 plus costs and perform 20 hours public service work for possession of marijuana.
‘ Judy McGlothen was granted a two-year judicial diversion and must perform 30 hours public service work and pay $2,000 plus costs for delivery of drugs.
‘ Michael Brooks must serve 30 days of a one-year sentence and perform 15 hours public service work for possession of a prohibited weapon.
‘ Melodie Ruth Hale must pay $50 plus costs for violation of the open container law.
‘ Thomas C. Young was ordered to serve 90 days of a two-year sentence and pay $250 plus costs for second-offense DUI and simple possession of marijuana.
‘ Stephanie Brooke Woodlee must serve 48 hours of a six-month sentence for driving on a suspended license.
